Sorry to inform you, but using in gg_turbo.py :

def stripWeapon(gungamePlayer, playerHandle, weaponType):
weaponIndex = gungamePlayer.getWeaponIndex(playerHandle, weaponType)
es.log('trying to remove')
if weaponIndex:
if spe.removeEntityByIndex(weaponIndex):
es.log('Safely removed entity')
else:
es.log('Tried to remove invalid entity')

Didn't fix the problem, check this out:

L 01/09/2010 - 16:54:47: trying to remove
./srcds_run: line 344: 30437 segmentation fault $HL_CMD
Add "-debug" to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
sob sty 9 16:54:47 CET 2010: Server restart in 10 seconds

and one more:

.pk. ҒŗŗĕQ is now leading on level 3
L 01/09/2010 - 10:38:07: trying to remove
./srcds_run: line 344: 25567 segmentation fault $HL_CMD
Add "-debug" to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
sob sty 9 10:38:07 CET 2010: Server restart in 10 seconds

and I can tell you, it happening most likely only on Linux.

Strange. Works for us. I believe you may have missed an es_xremove. Because it will not crash using SPE.

THIS.

XE_ManUp and I wrote the python backend of SPE.

I can tell you right now, it will not crash with this (yet to be released) version of SPE. You can't just replace 1 instance of es_xremove and expect it to work. The whole give/weapon strip system needs to be rewritten (which we have already done in GunGame5.1) to use SPE properly.

I stayed up until 6AM one night doing the above with XE_ManUp. I can guarantee you right now, it will not crash.

Although I am not going to discourage you from attempting to fix GunGame5, I am going to say that GunGame5.1 is extremely close to a beta release. We aren't going to support GunGame5 once we release GunGame5.1.

Notice we call it GunGame5.1. It's a complete and total rewrite of GunGame5, and it fixes many of the issues you are trying to fix in GunGame5 using much more elegant solutions. Just hang on tight .3lite. I promise you it will be worth the wait.

I'm not going to say we won't support GunGame5, but I will say that 5.1 is a huge patch to GunGame5.0. It's not that we are shunning GunGame, like a lot of people have pointed out, but moreso that we realized that the way that we did it was not optimal and caused a good bit of issues. We will support GunGame5.0, but will likely end up pointing people in the direction of 5.1, since it will have the fixes included.

Can you estimate the date? Because if it's like a month or so I need to work on it and try to fix it by myself until gg5.1 release, but if about two weeks~~ I can wait that time without any completely damage to my servers (players count).

I bet it will be worth waiting, but my servers with gg5 are loosing players each day because player would rather go somewhere else than loose level and start over and over again from the begining.

Between a month and 2 weeks.

Or maybe longer. Or shorter.

Over a month by now (10th january Don's post), I can't tell that it was a suprise for me, but yeah, fixing the problem is waste of time, just wait six months for gg5.1

Don't get me wrong, but you said that it's almost finished :/

If you ask me .3lite,

Gungame5.1 will hopefully be released soon. So dont go putting too much effort into this.
May i ask what version of GunGame5 you are running?
