How to Create a Custom Addon

Postby Don » Tue Sep 16, 2008 3:06 am

I would like to see this topic fleshed out. I have a custom addon I would like to start working on but I don't have a clue what's needed.
I am 31% addicted to Counterstrike. What about you?

You will need a text editor, a brain, and five fingers :D

They are treated the exact (challengable) same way as included addons. Look at the format they are in and you will be rockin'.

I will be creating a ScreenCast about the creation of custom GunGame5 addons later on. XE_Manup doesn't want me to make one while we are still in beta stages. Once we go public I will make it. Posting any info here may prove helpful to me and may also be included in the Screencast.

Learning to write a script with no previous programming knowledge can be a very timely process, depending on the complexity of the script you wish to create.

If you would simply would like the script, and do not feel the need to take weeks to months to learn all you need to know to write it yourself, post a script request.

I talked to him on IRC. He preferred that somebody else made the script, and he was looking for this script exactly:
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=118

He just didn't check to see what was already around.
