Did you restart your server completely after installing 5.1.454?

All im getting is crashes as soon as I load gungame. {Linux server.} I have changed the vdf to this aswell.

I got my server back up and running, GG51 is loading fine using autoexec, random spawn point seems to be working ok, weapons are changing on each level, server voting comes up fine towards the end, maps change good but a frequently get a server crash with the below error message on the console.

I try to load in console:

I have reinstalled server once again and using GunGame51 - Version 5.1.457 ,

Have changed sp_extensions_ep2.vdf to this:

I dunno why it keeps crashing. Im gonna try again the weekend.

If I have missed something then please let me know. I know that my server while testing the beta found the most problems with linux servers running GG5.1

Demo, there is an updated version of SPE available so that you don't have to change the vdf file. I would recommend using that instead.

Would someone be able to show me how can I set on nade level to get 1 kill for a nade? For example once you reach nade level. You start with a gun and a nade. Then when you throw your nade to get another one, you need to make a kill with a gun. I put in GG_nade_bonus config "gg_nade_bonus deagle", but every time you throw the nade you get another one automatically without a kill. I just don't exactly understand the meanings of some of those explanation you guys put in, not that they are bad, I am French Canadian :D .
There is one thing I was never able to do even with the old GG5 is when I put knife level last, I get a server crash every time someone hits that level. I had to put the config knife second last and nade in last and like this I have no crash.

@ XE_ManUp I have uploaded the new SPE and server still failed to start. I have tried so many things now that im just going to reinstall server and start again, I hope to get this running this time

I reinstalled server with just Eventscripts, Added Gungame then SPE, I restarted server and it lasted about 3 seconds. For some reason my Linux server dont like Gungame lol

i made a completly reinstall of the servers on linux and i just added Eventscripts and Source Phyton as plugins....
Both are loaded and i have the weapon bug, but i got some error logs of gungame due to the weapons....

Linux has a good number of strange quirks right now. We are aware of the issue, but awaiting some validation from Mattie (developer of the EventScripts plugin) as to what we can do to resolve this issue due to the fact that it is only an issue on Linux. We have successfully gotten GunGame to load on Linux, but it only gives players knives. That's it.

I found out just a small mistake but it isn't really important.
Under the direction /cfg/gungame51/included_addon_configs
the data gg_welcome_msg.cfg includes the following code.

//    A menu displayed to newly connected players displaying server and addon
// information.
//    Players can type !welcome to bring this menu back up.
// Note:
//    The configureable message is available in"gg_stats_logging.txt".

//    1 = (Enabled)
// Default Value: 0

// Enables/Disables gg_welcome_msg.
   gg_welcome_msg 1


I think it has to be gg_welcome_msg.txt and not gg_stats_logging.txt :D

I Finally got to get the nade and gun to work with one nade earned per kill :D and on top of it! my server doesn't crash enymore with the knife last woowoo! :D

When on the last level with a knife, order makes no difference, and my opponent has a gun and I shank him the server crashes. If my opponent has a knife and I shank him there is no problem. Also, I load gungame through the server.cfg file. I created a file called gg5.cfg and inside that file I have es_load gungame51. In the server.cfg file I call gg5.cfg, example --> exec gg5.cfg. Game loads fine but the last level shank with a gun server crash is still a problem.

Other than that, nice rewrite of the game. :P

Well, the problem isn't really with GunGame, itself. We have to wait for an official fix for EventScripts to be released so that events being fired within events does not crash the server. :(

Guys.... success!

I have been reading this thread with interest given that my previous version of Gungame wouldn't run after the latest game update.

I have just done a complete server re-install of CS:S and then Gungame starting from scratch on one of my linux servers.

So far from the testing I have done I am not experiencing any of the issues that are being reported here and the game appears to be running very nicely.

I have installed Gungame 5.1.466 along with
EventScripts Public Beta v2.1.0.323
and sp extensions ep2

the only command I have added to my server.cfg file is the "es_load gungame51" command

I have not customized any of the config files as yet - I intend to do that tomorrow and run a test after each change to identify where any potential crash issues may lie. I will also look to installing mani admin. Once done I'll come back to you and report on how it is going

As i said - this is a very basic "vanilla" gungame install so far but its a good start!

Hopefully my first post on your forum has been of some use. :D
