Issues with 2/5/13 Update

Valve updated CS:S again, and both EventScripts and SourcePythonExtensions are broken.

To fix EventScripts, you need to download the newest version (2.1.1.378):

Make sure you download 2.1.1.378 and not 2.1.1.371. Currently, 2.1.1.378 is marked as the HL2MP and TF2 version. Valve split CS:S from the rest of the OrangeBox games so they wouldn't break it every time they break other games. They are now simply updating CS:S to be on the newest version of the OrangeBox engine.

Unfortunately, SPE will need to be updated. Once it is, I will post a link to the update in this thread.

Ayuto has updated SPE but there still seems to be an issue as the gungame script seemingly cant find the spe?

Get error message:

Unloading gungame51...
Can't load addon (gungame51): SPE Is not installed on this server! Please visit http://forums.eventscripts.com/viewtopic.php?t=29657 and download the latest version! SPE is required to run GunGame 5.1.

I updated the gungame as well to make sure I had the latest version.
Still getting the "no spe" message.

Has anyone got GG5.1 working on a linux server after the update?
If so what plugins you using?

That error will only occur if GunGame fails to import SPE. Try using the following script:
Save that on your server as ../addons/eventscripts/test/test.py and then use "es_load test" in your server's console. That should print out the actual reason why SPE is not being imported. Post that here or in the SPE thread for whichever version you use.

Hey everyone.

I have an issue with my GG server that you can hopefully help me out with. I'm running it on a linux box and currently have MM:S v.19.2-devV, SM v1.5.0-dev+3764 and Eventscripts v.2.1.1.378 installed (with newest snapshots). I'm running the latest version of Gungame5.1, SDK Hooks .so file and SDK Tools as well as the latest release of SPE. All these updates have been done since the last Steam update.

I've managed to get Gungame up and running and when I'm in the server playing against a bot it's working fine. When another player joins the server it crashes. I'd be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction please! My brain is aching now!

Im running gg51 on a windows server and its running great with no problems at all. And im using the new alpha spe version. And all the latest snapshots of everything.

Just to be sure:

I typed :

[syntax="python"]import spe[/syntax]

in a text file and saved it as test.py

then put that in a folder called test

then uploaded that to my eventscripts folder where you said, then went on server and typed es_load into the console?
Gave me wrong syntax?!

I am going to redo eventscripts update see ifthat changes anything!

OK I guess I did a schoolboy error and forgot to move the eventscripts so file cos I use gameservers.com.
SPE now loads fine. eventscripts works fine but:

Now gg attempts to load but I get errors that result in the server crashing:

OK my errors relate to bots I added.
I have removed the bots from my server.cfg and gg5.1 now loads.
When I spawn as a player the server crashes.

Cant see the error message.

Ayuto has redone the spe for linux and the gungame now works fine, (even with bots)!

Sorry, I guess I really should have viewed my post after I posted... I used the wrong code to make a Python syntax block. However, it seems I cannot get the small script to use that syntax anyway, so I just used a basic code block (edited my previous post). Glad you got it working, though.

Thanks for the update Gungame is back !!! ...and all seems to be working fine..after 2 days of using the SMGG..i'm glad to be have my regular Gungame back and working, Unix server btw.

Having a problem, on the first run of the warm up round right after the server is started if we join a team while the warm up round is still running the server crashes. However if we wait it out and join a team after the warm up round it wont crash and then we are able to join the warm up round every new map after that with no problems till the server is restarted.
We run a linux server with every thing up to date.
