Nade kill after death

Hello, im not sure if this is intended or if i missed a setting somewhere but here's my issue:

while on grenade level, if:
1- i throw my nade
2- i get killed
3- my nade kills some1
for some reason i don't get rewarded for the nade kill

i searched forums and google for this but all i can find is changelogs :?

That seems strange. I almost always earn my nade kill after I have been killed. We don't check to make sure the attacker is alive, so it should not affect gaining the next level.

allright, i tested some more,
at first i thought it was because of bots but then i tested with a friend and noticed it only happens when i am the last player alive in my team, so the nade kill happens AFTER round end, that must be why it doesn"t count.
Is there a way to make it count even after round end ? or maybe i still have something wrong on the server...

We'll have to consider that one. Currently, you are correct, after the round ends, no one can gain a level for killing someone.

Ahhh... thx for your clarification

I think it would be nice to allow nade kills after round end
(not sure if it can be done with es/python though)

bump :o


so after a little testing on my server i figured out how to get this to work.

in the "cstrike\addons\eventscripts\gungame51" folder, open "gungame51.py" in a text editor, and scroll all the way to the bottom and find.

def round_end(event_var):
    '''Called at the end of each round'''

    # Set the round as inactive
    ActiveInfo.round = False


by changing False to True, the nade counted after round end and i got my level.

now what im wondering is, can this cause any problems with other stuff not working properly? i haven't noticed any bugs or other odd behavior after doing this, just want to be sure.

also, can this be added into a separate addon somehow so when gungame gets updated we don't have to keep altering this file?
