Sounds with GG votes & Vote Number Change

Postby lqhnybear » Mon Oct 04, 2010 2:06 am

Is it possible to add sounds to GG voting. You know like the "Time to Choose" sound file for when it starts and some sound for when it ends. Also it'd be nice to have a sound when you select an option. I was using mani to do this but as I am using the gg_vote_list.txt to limit which maps can be played, when I use mani it grabs all the maps not just the ones appropriate per player number.

Also it'd be nice to offer an option to change the numbers used for voting. So you could do default or be able to have the choice for map votes start on a different number, like 4 or 5.

/orangebox/cstrike/cfg/mani_admin_plugin/actionsoundlist.txt thats the file that you want to edit to change the sound for the map vote starting and ending.

That is IF their server is using Mani's voting system.

Right, if you use GG to start the vote, even with the mani command, the sounds don't work. So what do you think? Any chance of this happening? :)

Honestly, not any time soon. At least not from me. I have had far too much going on to code anything but emergency bug fixes. If someone else has the time to look into doing it, maybe.

I will honestly say that I HATE servers that have that type of voting, and typically blacklist them because I find them to be overly annoying (in reference to changing the voting numbers).
