How to allow server to work through the MapCycle and use RTV

Postby Den0va » Tue May 08, 2012 10:18 am

Hello all,

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this, I have been attempting to allow my Server to run through the map rotations like normal and still allow the voting system (RockTheVote/Nominate) to work.
However, am having a lot of troubles to which is bugging me.

At the moment, the server is set up to initiate a Map Vote when someone hits Glock; and retrieves the list of maps from MapCycle.txt.
I've tried adjusting the gg_map_vote.cfg to prevent the automatic voting when someone levels to Glock, but this disable the rest of the script (RTV), it also doesn't seem to be going through the rotations properly when someone levels from knife / wins the game, instead it stays on the same map that was just played.

I cannot figure out how to get this done, but I know it has been done before; because on an old server I used to play it had it set out to do what I am trying to accomplish.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Kind Regards,
David

The only thing I can think of to suggest would be to set "gg_map_vote_trigger" to a negative value. Not sure if that will work or not. I believe it "should" cause the regular MapVote to never appear while still allowing RTV.

Satoon, you sir are a genius!

Can't see how I didn't think about doing that, since the variable is an integer.
Map Cycles through like a charm and RTV and Nominate is still active.

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind Regards,
David

Awesome, I wasn't 100% sure that would work. Glad to hear that it did.
